An allergic reaction is an overreaction of the immune system to a normally harmless substance. Inhalation allergens come into contact with the mucous membranes of the eyes and nose via the ambient air or are inhaled.

Allergies usually cause watery and itchy eyes, a runny nose, itchy skin, rashes and sneezing.

Allergen-specific immunoglobulins E (IgE) are determined using a blood sample.

The results serve as the basis for individual therapy, which should only be carried out after consultation with a doctor or therapist.

• Disinfect the ring finger and let it dry.
• Hold the lancet on the side of your ring finger and press the mechanism.
• Wipe away the first drop of blood with the dry swab.
• Hold the blood collection tube to the puncture site and allow the blood to flow down the inside of the tube up to the mark.
• Close the tube and shake it over your head 3-4 times.
• Stick the barcode on the tube and send the sample immediately.
• The result will be sent by post within 3-4 days.
